The acquisition underwent several hiccups and delays—from a Finnish attempt to buy back Nokia from Microsoft, to an asset freeze on one of Nokia’s factories in India, as well as the lengthy regulatory approval process—but at long last the deal is done.

According to a letter from Nokia to its Device and Services suppliers obtained by Nokia Power User, upon the deal’s close the business will also be renamed Microsoft Mobile Oy. (“Oy” is a shorthand Finnish term for “stock company.”)
