July is a Chinese programmer whose popular blog on classic programming questions got too trafficked to handle on his own. July open-sourced the project and turned his blog into the first 38 chapters of an ebook, in the hope that other programmers will help him add to and ultimately finish it.
#5: Christmas Tree
A simple animated Christmas tree built of two spirals using only 11 lines of code. Andrei Kashcha was inspired by a story on Reddit, and wanted to try out the idea in JavaScript. The result is elegant in its simplicity.
