September 4, 2012 —
BZ Media LLC today announced Big Data TechCon — the HOW-TO conference for enterprise IT professionals and consultants who are ready to begin or turbocharge their corporate Big Data projects.
Big Data TechCon (www.BigDataTechCon.com) is the HOW-TO conference for Big Data featuring practical workshops, technical classes, thorough examinations of the real-world choices in storage, processing, analysis and reporting of Big Data, as well as strategies for rolling out successful Big Data projects in any organization. Big Data TechCon is technology-agnostic and will apply to organizations using relational databases, NoSQL databases, graph databases, unstructured data, flat files and data feeds.
The three-day Big Data conference will take place in the Boston area at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, near MIT, April 8-10, 2013. Big Data TechCon begins with a morning of intensive three-hour workshops, with the remainder of the event filled with technical classes and keynotes. More than 50 technical classes and workshops will be offered at the event.
Big Data TechCon will include an exhibition hall for companies offering solutions that enable and support Big Data projects. Between 500-600 IT professionals will attend, along with more than 30 exhibitors and sponsors.
The conference is owned, produced and managed by BZ Media LLC, publisher of SD Times, the leading magazine for the software development industry. BZ Media also produces AnDevCon: The Android Development Conference, and SPTechCon: The SharePoint Technology Conference.
Ted Bahr, Conference Director of Big Data TechCon, said, “Big Data is real, the benefits are real, and savvy businesses are ready to begin tapping the power of their databases. IT professionals need technical training on how to manage their Big Data opportunities. There are many conferences that explain why Big Data is going to be the future of computing, but none that deal exclusively with HOW-TO do it. Big Data TechCon will teach how to get it done.”
Alan Zeichick, Conference Chairman of Big Data TechCon, said, “Our attendees will learn from the smartest, hardest-working faculty in the Big Data universe in a way they never could by reading a book or watching a webinar. In addition to the technical program and great keynotes, attendees will be able to mingle with their peers and talk shop during meals and receptions. If you want to learn how to do Big Data, come to Big Data TechCon.”
The Call for Speakers is available online at www.BigDataTechCon.com. To learn more about speaking, contact Alan Zeichick, +1-650-359-4763 or
