December 1, 2009 —  Version 5.1 of Composite Software's Information Server expands the way servers access and publish data through representational state transfer, according to the company.

Information Server 5.1, released on Monday, has built-in integration with Hewlett-Packard Neoview 2.4, Oracle Database 11g and SQL Server 2008. Support for third-party authentication systems, including Java Authentication and Authorization Service, as well as user token authentication plug-ins is also now available.

Further, developers can manage the life cycle of data services using the Subversion version control system and Perforce, said Peter Tran, vice president of product marketing at Composite.

The update is free for existing customers. Pricing for new customer engagements is dependent on project size, Tran said.
