Instantiations updates GWT interface designer

September 5, 2008 —  A company that produces Java development products has updated its Eclipse-based GUI creation tool for Google Web Toolkit 1.5.

On Wednesday, Instantiations released GWT Designer 5.1, a tool that enables Java programmers to create AJAX user interfaces for Google Web Toolkit (GWT) applications.

GWT Designer remains backward compatible with GWT 1.4.62 while supporting GWT 1.5’s added features, including Java 1.5 and bi-directional code generation for internationalization. It can also integrate with MyGWT and widget libraries.

The product is based on Instantiations’ WindowBuilder Pro technology, which enables developers to create and test rich Internet applications without AJAX coding. GWT Designer provides controls, composites, layouts, wizards and WYSIWYG builders for Eclipse, GWT and Java.

A perpetual license costs US$124, and annual subscriptions are available as well.
