Zend Platform 3.0 Beta for Windows Released

January 18, 2007 —
Zend Technologies released a beta of the Zend Platform for Windows version 3.0 on Tuesday. The beta features the culmination of collaborations announced with Microsoft in October of last year. The Zend Platform offers PHP developers an environment in which to develop and deploy their applications, specifically those aimed at enterprise use. The platform includes BIRT capabilities and integrations with Java. The beta of Zend Platform 3.0 can be downloaded for free from www.zend.com/products/zend_platform/zend_platform_3_0_beta.

Earlier this week, Zend announced the appointment of a new CEO, Harold Goldberg. Goldberg was formerly Zend's senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
