Openmake Revision More Than Patch Release

November 1, 2006 —
New adapters for Perforce SCM, added LDAP support and new scanners for Visual Studio 2005 are what make Openmake 6.4.1 more of an ALM-ready build solution and more than a simple patch release, according to Catalyst CEO Tracy Ragan.

"We're completely revamping the architecture by February 2007, so there were some major features we wanted to get in so we can move forward with the new architecture," Ragan said.

Openmake's new ALM Processor includes workflow templates that connect the dots between external ALM tools, such as those offered by Perforce, and Openmake, without having to write point-to-point scripts for connection, Ragan explained.
