Teradata to Add Visual Numerics' C, Java Libraries

Teradata announced on Tuesday that it would be integrating two numerical libraries from Visual Numerics into its line of applications and tools. The IMSL C Numerical Library and JMSL Numerical Library for Java are intended to help customers build forecasting tools and predictive analysis applications. Teradata—in the process of splitting off from NCR—has already begun work on building the JMSL library into its applications and expects to release updates by the end of June; no timetable has been set for doing the same with the IMSL library.

Microsoft to ship jQuery with Visual Studio The popular open-source JavaScript library will be fully supported by Microsoft. The company is also planning to ship a version of jQuery that is designed to work better with Visual Studio.

News Briefs: December 15, 2008 AccuSoft creates an SDK for Web imaging software, while Artisan releases a free version of Artisan Studio. Also, Bredex, Embarcadero, Ilog and others provide updates for some of their products.
