Development Company Truly Global

September 25, 2006 —  A company called GlobalLogic has emerged today from the merger of international software development company Induslogic and Bonus Technology, a 300-person outsourcing company based in New Jersey but with a large development operation in the Ukraine.

GlobalLogic, which is privately held and backed by venture capital, employs 1,300 people worldwide, with development offices in the U.S., Kiev, New Delhi and Nagpur, India, according to CEO Peter Harrison. The company's core competency is in telecommunications, which also is the area of greatest expertise for Bonus.

With the merger and renaming, GlobalLogic also today is rolling out a new platform, Velocity, that supports the company's distributed agile software engineering method. Velocity, Harrison said, is "an amalgamation of open-source products for such things as knowledge management, source code management, testing and deployment." It also has a dashboard for collaborative management of software assets and of the development process, he added.
