
Interested in learning more about developing for the BBM Social Platform on BlackBerry? RIM is hosting a apps-building Hackathon in New York City on August 11-12 and it is looking for developers to participate.
Developers can begin applying today for entrance into the Hackathon here, and winners will be announced on July 27.
In order to qualify for the Hackathon, developers must have an idea for a new BlackBerry app that incorporates BBM, have the capability to build an app with their idea, have a laptop and all necessary equipment to do so, be a resident of the US, District of Columbia (exclusing Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Florida) or Canada (excluding Quebec), and be able to travel to the event, hosted August 10-13.
