BlackBerry’s PlayBook Available April 19 at Best Buy

BlackBerry’s PlayBook will be available in Best Buy stores as of April 19 and is currently available for pre-order.

The PlayBook developer program has been open for quite sometime and developers can use BlackBerry’s open WebWorks platform, something SD Times explained after our talk with Alex Kinsella, senior product manager for BlackBerry App World, in our April issue.

The BlackBerry developer site is open, free and allows for development of apps for both BlackBerry and PlayBook’s App Worlds. The PlayBook is available for pre-order as of today, from Best Buy, according to a press release from RIM. It will come in 16GB, 32GB or 64GB models and be priced at $499, $599 and $699 respectively.
