SD Times iPad App Ready to Go

by David Rubinstein 03/15/2011 01:56 PM EST

SD Times got the official word today from Apple's iTunes store... the SD Times Newsreader v 1.1 for iPad has hit Ready for Sale status! We're quite excited about this, as the iPad gives us a new form factor for presenting SD Times news and analysis in a look that's more magazine-like than website-like. Instead of seeing a list of headlines with a teaser sentence or two, you can literally page through SD Times on the iPad, see longer abstracts of stories, click through to read the full article and share them with colleagues or friends. Much of the publishing world sees tablet application as an important part of the future, and SD Times is pleased to be among the first movers to the platform.  Try us out on the iPad, and let us know what you think of the experience. New to this version: multitasking support; new sections such as the SD Times Newswire, editor blogs and a 'most recent' feature; user interface updates and some bug fixes and content updating. The app is available in the iPad App Store on iTunes. We hope you like it.
