The Cloud Security Alliance introduced today the "Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge," a test that "provides evidence that an individual as successfully completed an examination covering the key concepts of the CSA guidance and ENISA whitepaper," the CSA said.
The aforementioned key concepts are from the CSA's "Security Guidance for Critical Areas of Focus in Cloud Computing" and the European Network and Information Security Agency's whitepaper "Cloud Computing: Benefits, Risks and Recommendations for Information Security."
According to the CSA, the idea behind the CCSK is to ensure that a broad range of professionals, with responsibilities related to cloud computing, have demonstrated awareness of the security threats and the best practices for securing the cloud.
Those interested in taking the test can sign up now for US$195. Starting Januray 1, 2011 it will be $295.
