Have a phone? Do your work!

by Katie Serignese 07/22/2010 04:22 PM EST

In the past week or two there have been several announcements about mobile access to work-related tasks. Mobile Entree 2.0 was introduced last week by H3 Solutions as the second major release of its Microsoft SharePoint mobile application framework. New capabilities enable Mobile Entree users to now access real-time data through mobile dashboards while making decisions based on their business intelligence.

Rally software in the same week went mobile after acquiring Rally for the iPhone from Blue Hole Software. The mobile project management application (initially a $15 app called ScrumAway) is now available for free and enables development teams to check real-time project progress while tracking software updates and releases.

I suppose applications like this are great for those on the go, but I hope work doesn't stream its way into our radios, TVs, commercials, microwaves...and Alpha-Bits cereal!?
