When I was a business student, I relied upon SPSS for projects. It is the best software for statistical analysis on the market, and I was miffed whenever a professor used Excel instead of it. I hope that IBM realizes that it just purchased a learning tool, and maintains or liberalizes SPSS' university pricing. Something tells me that it will; graduates know how to use SPSS and will be already trained to use its business software. That is something that LexisNexis has already figured out, and young lawyers expect to be able to access it as an important tool for their job.
