Tonight, Microsoft announced that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 have been released to manufacturing. The news was timed for CEO Steve Ballmer's keynote address at a Microsoft sales conference today. For those of you that keep track, the final build is 7600.16385, and it was compiled last Monday. Business customers, developers and IT professionals will be able to download the RTM build (officially) early next month. Consumers will have to wait until Oct. 22. I wonder how long it will take for the torrents to hit the Web.
