Not all of the action happened in Los Angeles last week. Microsoft's Vijay Rajagopalan, a principal architect, announced that the company had partnered with RealDolmen to create a
PHP SDK for Windows Azure.
Developers can use the SDK to create RESTful servicesfor Windows Azure blobs, tables and queues, helper classes for HTTP transport, AuthN/AuthZ, REST and error management, as well as manageability, instrumentation and logging support, according to Rajagopalan's blog.
Microsoft is funding the project. The SDK and some code snippets are
available under the BSD license.
