Today, the northeastern United States was blanketed with snow, and the sky is filled with clouds. That's a perfect transition to a conversation that I had with Microsoft's Steve Martin, director of product management for Microsoft's Connected Systems Division: We talked clouds.
Martin (who luckily canceled his flight to New York) called to clue me in on what's happening with Windows Azure and its companion services. Some of the topics we discussed were Microsoft's planned use of the platform as the backend for its own services, how Microsoft will resolve SLAs, SQL Data Services, and how quickly the platform will evolve. Look for my story tomorrow.
