TX Text Control Adds Microsoft Word-Like Capabilities to Applications

The new TX Text Control .NET 16.0 product family provides all the features found in high-end word-processing packages, but in reusable component form. It, as well as the individual platform-specific product offerings that comprise it, supports tables, sections, headers, footers, database access, hyperlinks, bulleted lists, structured number lists, unlimited zoom, page view, images, and full drag-and-drop capabilities.

TX Text Control .NET includes localized dialog boxes, skinnable rulers, and toolbars that speed development. It also allows XAML binding to button bars and third-party ribbon bars. In addition, there is a new generic spell-checker interface that allows any third-party spell-checking component to be integrated into a TX Text Control-based application.

TX Text Control .NET generally simplifies document element programming so developers can rapidly add word processing capabilities to their applications. And as always, the client versions remain royalty-free and technical support is free.

Included in the release of TX Text Control 16.0 was the new TX Text Control .NET for WPF, which is the first WYSIWYG rich text editor for WPF. It can be used in WPF (.exe) and WPF browser (.xbap) applications, so it is now possible to build browser-based applications that, like Windows Forms applications, allow users to load files from and save files to a client in all supported formats.

The extensive Visual Studio support and intuitive class design help accelerate development while lowering related costs. Developers should think of TX Text Control .NET for WPF as “a rich text box on steroids” because it offers all the features available in Microsoft Word, but it does not require Microsoft Word and it is fully programmable. TX Text Control .NET for WPF also offers efficiencies such as allowing developers to codelessly bind the control to the Microsoft Ribbon for WPF using XAML.
