COMPANIES
German security companies charismathics gmbh and Wibu-Systems have entered a product agreement so that Wibu's CodeMeter software licensing suite will integrate with identity management standards with the help of charismathics' security interface. CodeMeter will also better integrate with applications such as Acrobat, Firefox and Outlook.

Microsoft and France-based Web technology consulting firm Noelios Technologies have released a new version of the Restlet open-source project, a REST framework for Java that includes the Restlet Extension for ADO.NET Data Services. Microsoft executives said the extension makes it easier for Java developers to utilize ADO.NET Data Services and connect their applications to the .NET platform.

Hosted software-licensing company Nalpeiron has created www.softwarelicensing.tv, a website that covers news about software piracy and software copy protection. The site will include a section called ISV Viewpoints, which will have podcasts and video on licensing, along with articles from software developers.

Security company WhiteHat Security has created the WhiteHat Security Support Plus program for users of the company’s Sentinel Web application security software. The program offers plans for different company budgets, including the Standard plan with 24-hour access to a Web support portal and next-business-day response time; the Silver plan, which has response times in eight business hours and quarterly service reviews; and the Gold plan, which has one- to four-hour response times and monthly service reviews.

NEW PRODUCTS
Data management company Jigsaw has released a suite of APIs and a toolkit that allow developers to deliver company profiles and contact data from inside their Web, desktop or mobile applications. The company also launched a new program so that companies can let their customers use Jigsaw accounts to acquire contact data or resell Jigsaw data.

Embedded software company Green Hills Software has rolled out INTEGRITY Secure Virtualization as part of its new Embedded Virtualization business unit. INTEGRITY Secure Virtualization hosts, Linux, VxWorks, Windows and other operating systems in virtual containers on ARM, Intel, Power and other processor architectures.

UPDATES
Vi Laboratories has added new reporting capabilities to its CodeArmor Intelligence 2.0 application piracy detector. Notifications of piracy can focus on specific machines or geographic regions based on rules configured on the gateway server. Another new feature in CodeArmor Intelligence is configuration of local encrypted log files, which allows infringement data to be logged locally when the computer is not connected to the Internet.
