Companies
Israel-based information security company Aladdin Knowledge Systems has created a facility for “Internet security cybercrime investigation,” the company said. The Attack Intelligence Research Center brings input from security researchers and law enforcement to help organizations implement best practices. Aladdin executives said the center will publish semi-annual security trend reports that both summarize Web threats over the past six months and predict threats to businesses in the next six months.

WhiteHat Security has created a .NET security course that reviews secure coding guidelines and .NET features like anti-XSS libraries, the company said. The two-day course will try to help developers keep security in mind through the whole development process. The company also added cross-site request forgery, business logic flaws and blind SQL injections as topics to its Web Application Security training course.

New Products
Communications and enterprise application provider Agnity created the ACONYX architecture, a software component framework for developing multiple communication services. ACONYX includes components for multimedia server control, messaging, conferencing and fixed mobile convergence. Company executives said the architecture can integrate with Web 2.0 services and mashups.

CPU debugging company Macraigor Systems released a free Eclipse Ganymede-compliant embedded debugging product. The Macraigor Eclipse + GNU Tools Suite packages Eclipse 3.4.1 with a program called OCDRemote, which provides an interface between Eclipse, the GDB debugger and a Macraigor On-Chip debug device.

Updates
Absoft, a maker of compilers and debuggers, has added SSE4 vector capabilities for applications running on 32- and 64-bit x86 processors from AMD to version 10.2 of its Pro Fortran compiler suite. The new version has IDE improvements that simplify code development and maintenance with a graphical IDE designed specifically for C and Fortran development, the company said. It includes an Fx3 debugger with filtering capabilities.

Requirements software provider Blueprint has added a cloud-based collaboration system that can align global project teams to Requirements Center 2009 Feature Pack Two. The Blueprint Resource Center, a new feature of Requirements Center 2009, draws content from multiple Internet and customer-intranet resources to provide tools and processes to business analysts.
