Zeichick's Take: Looking Forward to FutureTest 2008

Email    print
November 29, 2007 —  It's hard to believe that it's been two months since we announced FutureTest 2008—our forward-thinking symposium for senior leaders in enterprise test/QA, as well as top executives in test/QA companies.

We have an incredible group of nine keynote speakers:

•Gary McGraw: Security in an Insecure World

•Rex Black: Analyze the Return on Your Testing Investment

•Jeff Feldstein: Software Testing Is About Software Testers

•Brian Behlendorf: Test/QA Lessons We Can Learn From Open Source

•Robert Martin: Testing, Craftsmanship and Professional Ethics

•Joel Spolsky: Spolsky on Software Testing

•Alan Page: Building a Center of Test Excellence

•Rob Sabourin: Just-in-Time Testing

•Tony Wasserman: The Future of Software Testing

I'll be the master of ceremonies at FutureTest 2008—and that includes grilling each of the keynote speakers after their presentations. I'm also moderating two panels, one on the evolution of test tools, and the other on the evolving role of test within the application life cycle.

If you'd like to join us at FutureTest 2008—Feb. 26–27 in New York City—you should know that the "eXtreme Early Bird" registration discounts end tomorrow, Nov. 30. (STPCon alumni also qualify for a special discount.)

FutureTest 2008 will be unlike any software testing conference you've ever attended. I hope you'll be there with us.

Zeichick's Take:Looking forward, looking back
Today is the first day of December, and although the year’s not over yet (there’s still more than 8% of 2008 left on the calendar), the start of this month always puts me into an odd mood. On one hand, it’s natural to look back on all that happened in the year that’s about to end. On the other hand, it’s equally natural to look forward to what’s coming in the year ahead Read More...
