NEW PRODUCTS
Word processing component provider TX Text Control has created a spell-checking component that is geared for ASP.NET applications, .NET applications and Windows Forms. RapidSpell .NET gives a spell-check dialog with replacement suggestions in English and German dictionaries, according to TX Text Control.

Salesforce.com has integrated with Twitter, allowing users to search and join Twitter conversations in Salesforce's Service Cloud customer service offering. Salesforce CRM for Twitter lets users create a record in the Service Cloud that tracks replies to a post that interests them. Users can also connect to Facebook and other social networking sites with Salesforce CRM for Twitter, according to the company.

Data connectivity and mainframe integration company DataDirect Technologies has made available DataDirect Connect 6.0, adding integration with major platforms and databases, including IBM’s DB2, Microsoft’s SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase. Company executives said that DataDirect Connect 6.0 has new load bulk functionality for loading bulk data into a database through the open database connectivity API, and for performing bulk operations without having to deploy load software from an outside source.

Text retrieval software maker dtSearch has increased sample code for use with Microsoft Visual Studio in a new version of its dtSearch 64-bit developer product line. Version 7.6 of dtSearch’s text retrieval software includes new features like the Terabyte Indexer, which can search terabytes of data in less than a second, and the Spider, which adds local or remote website content to a searchable data collection, according to the company.

ActiveState has added new navigation capabilities to its Komodo IDE, allowing developers to browse through recently edited files. Komodo 5.1 has new hyperlinking capabilities and improvements to how developers can access files. Additionally, Komodo 5.1 integrates with the Linux platform, according to company executives.

Application management company Micro Focus released Liant 12, a new version of its application development suite. Liant 12 includes larger capacity and improved capability with Windows for its RM/COBOL compiler and runtime system, according to Micro Focus.
