Latest Developer Toolset from Chant Accelerates Speech Integration

September 1, 2011 —  Chant Inc., a leading independent vendor of speech technology tools and components, announced today availability of a new version of its flagship toolset for developing software that speaks and listens.

Chant Developer Workbench is comprised of essential tools and components for integrating speech technology. As an interactive toolset, it provides a development and testing environment for working with the component libraries and the speech technology objects they manage. Developers can manage grammars, profiles, lexicons, recognizers, synthesizers, and text-to-speech markup interactively and directly within application software they develop and deploy.

"With Developer Workbench 2011, developers have the tools and components to integrate grammars, lexicons, profiles, recognizers, synthesizers, and text markup for a variety of application architectures and IT infrastructures."

New key features and capabilities provided by Chant Developer Workbench 2011 include:
• Dragon NaturallySpeaking (v11), SAPI (v5.4), and VoCon 3200 (v4) APIs and features,
• L&H BNF V2.0, W3C XML, W3C BNF, and JSGF grammar syntax support,
• Version independent C++Builder and Delphi class libraries,
• .NET 4.0, Silverlight, and Java 1.7 component libraries, and
• WinCE Chant Developer Workbench interactive environment.
