August 27, 2008 — Two of the winners were from the United States, two were from Brazil and four were European. More than 600 of you participated in the Ganymede Around the World Contest, and gave your reviews via blog, message or in a recording to the Eclipse Foundation, in exchange for a chance to win one of eight prizes, which included free passage to an Eclipse conference.

The top winner was Vincenzo Cappello, who wrote an extensive review (in English) on his blog. Vinny is a programmer and consultant living in Corbetta, Italy, which appears to be a suburb of Milan.

Eclipse jackets went to second-place reviewers Emiel van Rooijen of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Kazimierz Pogoda of Szczecin, Poland.

Five others were selected by random drawing: Laszlo Borsos, Hungary; Nicholas Chen, United States; Joana Matos Fonseca da Trindade, Brazil; Gabriel, Brazil; and Dave Loomis, United States.
