October 14, 2009 —  Business process management software maker Appian has partnered with MEGA to bring process analysis capabilities to its platform.

The partnership, announced on Monday, provides a product called Appian Process Architect by MEGA, which enables Appian customers to view business process analysis (BPA) results that are passed from MEGA's process modeling software.

Specifically, Appian BPM users may incorporate MEGA's process performance statistics in their activity monitoring workflow. It also provides Business Process Modeling Notation process models for all Appian-managed processes. The models supplemented by historical process performance data from Appian to help process designer make decisions.

“Integrated BPA/BPM starts with a clear understanding and documentation of the organization’s inter-related resources and processes, and continues with the efficient execution and management of those assets and processes,” explained Jim Sinur, research vice president at Gartner.

The solution will be sold and supported by Appian and its worldwide partners. Current MEGA customers can convert their existing MEGA Process licenses to Appian Process Architect.
